Return to Work Assessments
Considering that more work hours are lost through musculo-skeletal conditions including back pain, whether as self certificated illness or via a General Practitioner, Pivotal Health Solutions can provide a service at your premises or an appointed clinic, where your staff can be assessed and diagnosed.
These Return-to-Work Assessments are carried out by Registered Osteopaths who specialise in diagnosing musculo-skeletal conditions. Using orthopaedic testing and medical screening, your staff member will be fully assessed and a working diagnosis formed. They will be provided with advice on suitable stretches and exercises to help with the condition as well as practical advice on how to manage it.
Osteopathic treatment can also be offered if required. Many work-based health insurance plans include having osteopathy so the cost may even be covered. Should no health insurance plans be in place, it is still worth considering the money that can be saved by investing in your staff member’s health and enabling them to return to work as quickly as possible.


Figures from the Health & Safety Executive estimated in 2007/8 that there were 442 000 people working in Britain who believed they had experienced work-related stress at a level to negatively affect their health. This translated into 13.5 million lost working days due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety, in that one year alone as estimated by the Labour Force Survey.
